With over 80 million daily users all over the globe, it is very important to take a look at various countries that make use of Instagram the most and why they do that. 

Doing this will also provide an opportunity for other countries to discover the importance of Instagram and also leverage on all the benefits this amazing social media platform offers. 

According to Instagram user search results, the United States of America ranked first with 121 million monthly active users, India come second with 71 million users, and Brazil was third with 64 million.  Other countries include: Indonesia with over 56 million users, Turkey with 34 million Instagram users, Russia with 31 million Instagram users and Iran with 24 million Instagram users. 

The statics shows countries with the largest Instagram users as at October 2018. As of April 2018, Instagram has remained the most popular social networks worldwide used by young people. The social media platform reported 1 billion monthly active users in June 2018. 

The United States of America ranked first because it is home to widespread applications and young people's favorite social media apps; the same applies to turkey and India respectively. 

Research also shows that 62 percent of Instagram users from the United States are young people between the ages of 18 - 34 while 90 percent of the world's total users are under the age of 35 years. Roughly 56 percent of this millennial are female while 48.6 percent are male social media users. 

As a photo sharing app, Instagram has succeeded in attracting new users of all ages more than any other social media platform because a lot of people have realized the importance of using this platform to connect, brand, market, sell their products and increase profit.
