The Federal Communications Commission has announced that it is handing out free wireless routers to anyone who chooses to participate in an ISP Test. Called Test my ISP, the project is created in collaboration with Sam Knows, and is intended to help shape the future of the American broadband industry.
Behind the hype, whether the system will fare any better than the well known Speedtest.net is anyone’s guess. But what’s the harm in trying? You just might get a free wireless router.
