iPad 2 vs ancient Sumerian tablet

What’s cooler, the iPad 2 or the ancient Sumerian clay tablet?

The ancient Mesopotamians (that’s Iraqis to you and me) practically invented writing. Poking sticks into wet clay, they created meaning from form. The baked clay pages they created were actually called tablets – the precursors to modern books. So, the fact that you and I are literate today can be attributed to some ancient stick-poker.

Fast forward nearly 5000 years to the post modern age, and tablets were resurrected in their present electronic avatar. So it goes without saying that tablets – whether ancient, old or new – are officially cool.

But what’s cooler, Steve Job’s iPad 2 or the ancient clay tablets from ancient Mesopotamia?
