Google has introduced a new product that has potentially groundbreaking implications for social networking. The latest Internet hit from the search giant is the Google News Timeline, a feature lets you see your favourite news topics in a chronologically ordered page that makes the best of Google News’s search functionality.
The system, although in beta in Google Labs, has great potential of being a social networking hit. News Timeline may be incorporated as a widget to be included on blogs and websitse across the Web, displaying relevant information about news topics at a glance with the power to instantly go to topically relevant news.
The chronology is also a strategically important analysis tool that can help topical experts analyse trends and stay on top of news trends. It simplifies research by eliminating the need to organize and tabulate information in a chronolgical fashion, potentially aiding rapid decision making.
