Nokia Messaging now supports Hotmail
Mobile April 2nd, 2009The latest release of Nokia Messaging, an integrated email service aimed at the S60 range of mobile devices created by Finnish mobile giant Nokia now supports Microsoft’s popular Hotmail email service. Similar to other push email services that proactively indicate incoming messages but more streamlined in functionality, Nokia Messaging is apparently positioning itself as a comprehensive mobile communications suite.
Instead of logging in to check your email, wouldn’t it be great if your mobile phone could just ring or vibrate whenever you got a new message? That’s what mobile push email is all about. In proactively alerting you to incoming mail, it truly acts as a messenger. But there’s more.
Nokia Messaging now allows you to use up to 10 different email accounts managed in one place. Among other cool features is a new multiple language capability allowing users to both read and send messages in their local tongue. Also included in the latest release is additional support for HTML emails and compatibility with eighteen Nokia S60 models.
The service is currently provided on a trial basis, but in the near future people will be able to use it with their regular mobile plans.
